A major problem of farming in Nigeria is the huge gap between subsistence and commercial farming. Nowadays commercial agriculture is mostly related to the tools and not the purpose of quantity of production. Most local farmers produce in bulk for sale but still uses crude tools and methods and are seen as subsistent. People should be educated more on improved technologies and methods, given low cost better equipments by the government in order to foster better all round production in the country.

These farming equipments, don't we have companies that produce them here in Nigeria at possibly cheaper costs? Because if the government would be giving most farmers equipments that would be a certainly large sum( and we even know that when money is released, certain things happen). And as regards this improved technology and methods, what do you think we can do to increase awareness to the farmers who have gotten rather comfortable with their current methods and with our currently existing language barriers. This is for everyone.
We can make Nigeria great.
